How His got together definately seemed random. It all seemed to have started as joe mikey mapa went to Bridgeway 242 September 2005. he just got called to serve in Washington, DC and needed a place to worship with other brothers and sisters. God then called Him to start playing in the worship band and then soon start leading the songs during the service. By January 2006, he was blessed enough to be able to be the lead worshipper of BridgeWay 242. After that, there was a rumor that matt mcclinch was able to play piano, he asked and the conversation went like this.
"hey matt"
"yeah?"
"can you play piano?"
"... yeah"
"sweet... can you play piano... next week?"
"sure"
joe was extremely happy for he has never had a piano player for BridgeWay 242, and he added a definate dynamic to the music. Then, through Little Lights he met dave flanders who was also looking for a place to worship with other brothers and sisters. dave went to church and liked it, then joe learned of him playing bass guitar. So, joe went to dave and said.
"you play bass right?"
"yeah"
"sweet, bring it next week"
Sure enough, dave brought his bass, and he's been playing ever since. eddie has been the veteran in being in the BridgeWay 242 congregation. eddie has been with BridgeWay 242 and has sometimes helped out with playing djimbae, or singing. joe comes up to eddie and asks him if he wanted to play the drums, and that dave aquired an electric drumset to play on. eddie then came over to daves during band practice and eddie wowed joe with his skills on the throne of beats! joe then asks
"eddie, you played the drums before?"
"naw dude"
".... really?.. umm.. you wanna play the drums?"
"yeah sure"
So we thought that this was His for now. However, The Man upstairs had different plans, as soon as we announced our band to the congregation. jeff steps up during clean up. This is how this conversation went.
"Hey guys"
"Hey jeff"
"you think you need anything else in the band?"
"yeah, we kinda want an electric guitarist"
"umm... i can play"
"really??.... wanna?"
"sure"
So jeff comes over to daves during practice and plays.... and there it is..
