"i" in worship?

wow.. so this is the first blog of HisNoise.com... i hope to be able to start conversations between worshippers (whether we lead the service or not) that we may be able to learn from each other. please feel free to leave comments and thoughts on what you feel about the topic being said....

i've had a problem with many conversations that happen after services of worship when i was a kid. Phrases like, "worship didnt really do anything for me" or, "i dont like it when____ lead worship", even stuff like "man i really like ____ leading worship".... When i hear things like this, it saddens me as a lead worshipper because i feel like we as worshippers have lost the point.

Life... especially our worship life is not about us whatsoever. When we complement other people, we do not go afterwards "man, i didnt really feel good in doing that".... When we worship God, that is what is for.. To declare the greatness of God, and the worthiness of God. Even through our hard times, God is still great and worthy to be praised. This has nothing to do with us, however through the Grace of God He gives something sometimes. Thats just how cool Christ Jesus is, giving us something thats uncalled for and undeserved. And its even a miracle at all that God even wants anything to do with us. What do we have that we can offer God that He doesnt already have?.....Conversations should change after the services of worship in saying "man, i hope God was pleased by what we offered today"...

i understand that theres an "i" in worship, however i think its that that "i" belongs to the great I Am....

Thoughts?

May we all see the blessings of God and give those blessings back to Him

Much Love,
